Digital Age Learning Culture

I am a digital leader! My professional development goal last year was centered on learning, practicing and modeling enhanced technology.  The ITSE standards for Administrators defines Digital Age Learning Culture as: “Educational Administrators create, promote, and sustain a dynamic, digital-age learning culture that provides a rigorous, relevant, and engaging education for all students.”

Academic Culture

VVMS has fostered a strong PBIS culture in order to support student learning at high levels.  In the same way, I believe that we have to teach the academic culture that we expect!  I am proud of our expanding honors classes and our Nobel program for Gifted and Talented learners.

Personalized Culture

I believe that relationships matter!  Centering our work on the students is THE work.  Preparing our future Falcons for Middle School, Master Scheduling balance between middle school philosophy and a personalization and knowing my community well create a strong personalized culture.  All communication that leaves our school is supported bilingually in Spanish and English.  Todd Whitaker said that “Its people, not programs.”

Educational Excellence, Equity and College Access

I started the first ever to my school district AVID program and it is flourishing! AVID‘s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

Thanks for visiting my website.
